As we are nearing the end of our second week in lockdown, the committee of Islip Village Shop wanted to provide the following update on how the shop is supporting the community during this challenging time.
The Good News:
- For the ill, vulnerable & self-isolating
We are still able to get online orders from Sainsburys on a daily basis and are able to take orders for delivery to those who are struggling to do their own shopping, or are ill or self-isolating. If you are in this category with no alternative help, we will do our very best to deliver what you need from our normal shop range along with additional items available from Sainsburys. We cannot guarantee next day delivery but will do our very best to help.
- For other residents
We appreciate everyone is finding it difficult to shop at the moment so you are also very welcome to place an order with the village shop for Sainsburys items. In addition, you may like to support and order local produce from:
La Patisserie: who are still baking bread, although a reduced range, and we will be taking deliveries on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
For Easter weekend only, Friday orders will be delivered on Thursday 9th April and Monday orders will be delivered on Tuesday 14th April.
Bartletts Butchers: who are delivering to Islip on a Friday. Please place all orders by Tuesday morning at the latest.
For Easter weekend, deliveries will be on Thursday 9th April.
Beechwood Eggs: are delivering once a week to Islip.
Upton Smokery: are delivering once a week and the range includes delicious smoked salmon and smoked chicken.
To discuss an order please phone 375715. Your call will go to an answerphone that will be regularly checked. Alternatively email: firstname.lastname@example.org
